We currently have two sites:
Te Ahurewa Mataareo is based at 35 Rimu Crescent Minginui Forest
It is total immersion Te Reo Maori
Situated in Minginui Forest Village where the majority of our tamariki live, the kura introduces Te Reo and Tikanga Maori to our tauira. We aim to develop and strengthen the use of te reo Maori and ensure that tauira know who they are, where they are from and the significance of the history and the environment which surrounds them.
Year 0 – Year 4
Te Ahurewa Mataamua is based at 49 Minginui Road, Te Whaiti
It is bilingual
Year 5 – Year 10
Te Kura Toitu o Te Whaiti nui a Toi offers a wide range of resources which it makes available to our communities of Minginui, Te Whaiti, Ngaputahi and Ruatahuna on a regular basis. The local marae use the ablution block during tangihana and hui; photocopier, computers and library are available for community research and we also make school vehicles available to the community, at the board’s discretion.
